Reclaim Renew Renest

Last Thursday was our annual fundraiser, re2020, and we had a blast!  The stress of planning and preparing faded away as the bids rolled in and the total went up! We wanted to make sure we thanked everyone that was involved in making our event a success. Either by creating it, sharing it, or participating!

First and foremost, our event and auction chairs, Baylor Boyd and Amy Hardy. Without their hard work, dedication, and tireless devotion to Renesting’s mission and to making our annual fundraiser the best it could be, we would be at a tremendous loss.  They organized, planned, delegated, and shared their relationships in the broader community. They are simply invaluable. THANK YOU!

Next, we want to thank our sponsors. Their donations made everything we did for re2020 possible. So a BIG thank you to:

Yarbrough Interiors, Citizens National Bank, Barksdale FCU, Diamond Realty, Hummingbird, King, & Butler, Ivan Smith Furn., Mudd & Holland Consult., No Rush Farms, Papa John’s Pizza, Smith Reeves LLC, Lea Stroud, Amy Hollister/Edward Jones, Coldwell Banker Gosslee, Mattress by Appt. Bossier, and KTBS!

We are so proud of the relationships these sponsorships represent. They only further our sense of community with the SBC. THANK YOU!

One of the most exciting parts of this year’s fundraiser was the live stream event. This video is one of the most powerful and impressive things we have ever seen. We felt it beautifully summarized 11 years of service, as well as highlighted auctions items, encouraged donations, and got us all excited for re2020! You can watch it here if you missed it or if you want to rewatch it!

Fairfield Studios filmed, edited, and streamed the live parts of the video. We want to thank them from the bottom of our hearts. Their creation is something we will be able to use for years to come to share our mission with everyone we meet. And of course, we want to give a special thanks to Ed Walsh for being the best MC/Host we could have asked for! His experience in front of the camera definitely made a difference and made the evening run smoothly. THANK YOU!

Our wonderful host, Ed Walsh during our live stream event!

And of course, we want to thank YOU. If you shared a re2020 Facebook, Instagram, or blog post, if you invited your friends to the Facebook live, if you bid on an item, if you told someone else to bid, if you donated an item for the auction, if you tuned into our live stream, if you donated, if you picked up items for an auction winner… and on and on. Each and every way that YOU were involved with re2020 is what made the event a success. So, THANK YOU!

Fairfield Studios, before we got started filming!

Last, though far from least, we want to thank our volunteers and our board. Our board members and our volunteers stepped up to spend a full day filming with Fairfield Studios at the Nest. They collected and curated auction items. They had a hand in every part of the event. We could not have done it without their support and dedication. THANK YOU.

And so, re2020 is in the books! We’ll have a full rundown of the numbers soon and will keep you updated!
