Position: Warehouse Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director
Compensation: $15.00/Hour; Part-time
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
The Warehouse Coordinator supports the mission of Renesting Project by overseeing the organization’s warehouse operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and organized management of furniture and household goods. This position plays a central role in receiving, sorting, and maintaining donated inventory, as well as coordinating and assisting with deliveries to clients.
Working under the direction of the Executive Director, the Warehouse Coordinator ensures that warehouse logistics run smoothly and that all donations and deliveries are handled with care and professionalism. The position involves frequent interaction with donors, volunteers, and clients, requiring excellent communication skills, reliability, and a strong commitment to the organization’s mission of helping individuals and families transition into stable living environments.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of experience in warehouse operations, delivery driving, or logistics.
- Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move furniture and household goods safely.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and periodic drug screenings, as required by organizational policy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with volunteers or in a client service setting.
- Familiarity with logistics, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
- Experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles.

- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with board members, staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to safely operate organization vehicles, including box trucks, as required for program logistics.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds individually, and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee the daily operation and organization of the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment in compliance with safety standards.
- Receive, inspect, and organize all incoming donations.
- Prepare furniture and household items for client delivery, ensuring completeness and quality.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure accountability and accuracy.
- Identify items in need of repair, cleaning, or disposal, and coordinate appropriate action.
Client Services
- Help coordinate client appointments and deliveries in collaboration with the Executive Director.
- Ensure that items provided to clients meet quality and safety standards.
- Support data collection on client outcomes and service delivery.
Transportation & Deliveries
- Operate organization vehicles to pick up donated items and deliver goods to clients.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained, fueled, and cleaned regularly.
- Load and unload items with care, following proper lifting and safety techniques.
Volunteer & Donor Engagement
- Support volunteer coordination within the warehouse, providing clear instruction and oversight.
- Ensure volunteers follow safety protocols and represent the organization positively.
- Interact with donors and community partners in a friendly and professional manner during pickups or drop-offs.
Program & Organizational Support
- Collaborate with staff to ensure the timely fulfillment of client needs.
- Support community events, donation drives, or outreach activities as assigned.
- Assist in developing and maintaining systems that improve efficiency and safety in warehouse operations.

Work is performed in office, warehouse, and community settings. The role may require occasional lifting and moving of furniture and household goods (typically up to 50 pounds, and over 100 pounds with assistance).
