Have you ever wished there was an easy way to support causes that make the world a better place? Well, good news—there is! It’s called Project for Awesome (P4A), and Renesting Project is honored to be part of this year’s event.
If you’ve never heard of P4A, don’t worry—we’re here to explain what it is, why it matters, and how you can help Renesting Project secure funding through this incredible community-driven fundraiser.
What is Project for Awesome?
Project for Awesome (P4A) is an annual online event that raises awareness and funds for charities that “decrease world suck.” It was created in 2007 by authors and YouTube creators John and Hank Green, and it has grown into a massive global movement of generosity.
Each year, the event includes a 48-hour livestream, video submissions from supporters, and a voting system that determines which charities receive funding. In 2024, P4A raised over $3.5 million, supporting organizations around the world!
Half of the funds raised go to established charities Save the Children and Partners in Health. The other half? That’s where the community votes come in. The P4A community decides which charities receive the remaining donations—and this is where we need your help!
How Can You Help?
We submitted a video to P4A to showcase the impact of our work, and we need your vote to help us receive a donation during Project for Awesome 2025! Here’s how you can support us:
1. Vote for Renesting Project
- Voting opens on February 11th and runs until February 19th, 2025.
- You can vote once per device, so make sure to use your phone, laptop, tablet, and any other devices you have access to!
- If you have family and friends who care about making a difference, ask them to vote too!

Why Your Vote Matters
At Renesting Project, we provide gently used furniture and household essentials to individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness or other crises. A couch isn’t just a couch—it’s a place to gather, rest, and rebuild. A bed isn’t just a bed—it’s a safe place to sleep after a difficult journey.
Winning a P4A grant will fund client deliveries, expand our impact, and ensure that every family we serve feels at home again.
