Merry Christmas!!

It’s a busy time of year so we wanted to put out a short and sweet message to our wonderful board. At the end of every year, we have members that roll off and new members that join. It’s a bittersweet combination of saying goodbye to members of the team that have worked alongside you and welcoming fresh faces and new ideas. The 2020 board has had a unique experience compared to past boards, thanks to what a strange year it has been, to say the least.

Board members and volunteers at a Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast in 2019,

We want to wish a warm and happy holiday season to our 2020 board. They have been as resilient as ever through an incredibly tough year. As pandemic protocols kept changing they helped keep our doors open. Through frustration and technical difficulties, they logged on to board meetings via Zoom. When an in-person event couldn’t happen, they planned and executed our first 100%-virtual fundraiser. The board even collected donations from their friends and family to bring to us when we opened after our temporary closure in March. The 2020 board handled every struggle that came up.

As 2020 ends, so does the tenure of six of our board members. While we are sad to see them go, we are so excited about their next steps with their families, careers, and community service. Thank you and farewell to Amy, Danielle, Denise, Ken, Kris, and Tammy. It has been a pleasure working with all of you!

We want to give a warm Renesting welcome to our four new board members, Andy, Brad, J.J., and Shilpan! We’re excited about the new perspectives they will provide and can’t wait to see what 2021 holds for us! We’ll have more info on these new members soon, so stay tuned!
